It’s a lethal concoction. The ability to carry and endeavour studio-heavy tunes alongside a threatening live proposition. If you’ve got it – Well, as they say, the rest is history. Or perhaps it’s history-in-the-making…This is Matt Black.
The Geelong-resident began his escapades along the Victorian coastline breaking out sounds and sweats unheard elsewhere. Before long his ability to recognise a good hook when a good hook comes knocking saw residences build at Mynt Lounge, Jump, Lefties Torquay and Knock Knock – As well as appearances at Home House, Eureka, Mr. Hydes and the institution’s known as Future Music Festival and Summadayze.
A production weapon as one half of the Circus Circus outfit (With Ryan Herbert) and recent Love That Music counterpart, Black’s plan to have party-goers “Jumping off the walls…” is taking place sooner rather than later. Supporting names like the Stafford Brothers, Aston Shuffle, Timmy Trumpet, Andy Murphy, Tommy Trash and TV Rock evidently having their effect on the man’s dedication and flow.
An intuitive musical-output and business mind without fail filling mainroom’s time and time again - With dirty, anguish-ridden, Sambuca-induced Matt Black beats.
